Your Monday Update 8)

Hi Kids,

Well, I saw Jane Eyre. My personalized English-Lit-saturated review will be coming shortly this week. To sum up in the meantime, it had plenty of faults, but for atmosphere, it was brilliant. Problem is, it was more depressing than Bronte's novel, it left out chunks of necessary material and while the dialogue was exactly what it should have been (intelligent), what with the missing information and lack of at least a little pep, it came across as simply bland. So think of it as a slice of swiss cheese: a lot of holes, unadorned and in need of other ingredients to make it attractive. There, brilliant. ;)

Nonetheless, it had it's positives. I'll save most of those for my formal review, but I can say that the cinematography was spot on. Authenticity, you're doin' it right.

In other news, check out a short video on Werner Herzog's new film about the Chauvet caves. It looks promising.

In other news, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts are getting in the Royal Wedding mood with their own donuts and cakes in prep for the big day. Cheesy, yes, but in my world, anything counts. ;)
